52.211-9G45 ALTERNATE II ELECTRONIC CONTRACTING SPECIAL MARKING
D11F37 INSTRUCTIONS (MAR 2004) DSCR
NOTICE FOR DIRECT VENDOR DELIVERIES: In addition to the requirements
of paragraph 5.1.6.2., Markings of ASTM D3951, markings on exterior
shipping containers will contain as a minimum the NSN, requisition
number, and the contract delivery order number. These markings are to
be applied through stenciling or other means, directly to the exterior
shipping container or included in the body of the invoice/shipping
document which will be permanently affixed to the exterior shipping
container. Regardless of method used, all markings must be visible to
receiving personnel. When the total number of containers going to the
same destination exceeds either 250 pounds (excluding pallet) or a
volume of 20 cubic feet, then palletization is required except for 55
gallon drums.
NOTICE FOR SHIPMENT TO DLA STOCK LOCATIONS: Shipments to DLA stock
locations must be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129P dated 15 Dec
02 and AIM BC 1 with the following exception: Marking, including
barcoding, and fragile marking (if required), must be on the outside
container and all intermediary containers down to the specified QUP.
DSCR Clause 52.211-9G22 (Sec F) applies.
