DSCR H14: INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF EQUIPMENT

    (a)  At no additional cost to the Government, installation 
service will be provided by the contractor to military and other 
Government agencies within the 48 contiguous states, the District 
of Columbia, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.

    (b)  The contractor shall label each carton in large bold 
letters, "Notice to users within the 48 contiguous states, the 
District of Columbia, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico - Do Not 
Open - Call the Contractor for Installation of this Microfiche 
Viewer/Printer." 

    (c)  The contractor shall send an experienced representative 
to the using activity within 36 hours after notification by the 
activity that it has received microfiche viewer/printer, paper and 
toner.

    (d)  The installation service shall include setting up the 
machine in operating condition, installing the paper and toner, 
training the user in such aspects as lamp replacement, cleaning 
lenses and other optical components, as well as the fiche carrier 
and providing guidance on the use of the machine controls.

    (e)  The contractor also warrants that remedial and maintenance 
service will be available to the user of the microfiche viewer/
printer within the geographical location set forth in paragraph (a) 
above at a reasonable cost to the Government agency.  The 
negotiations of a remedial maintenance service agreement, if any, 
shall be between the user of the equipment and the contractor and 
is outside the scope of this contract.
