DSCR I173: GOVERNMENT-FURNISHED MYLARS

  (a) A mylar (stable base drawing) is available from the
Government and will be mailed or otherwise furnished to the 
contractor within 30 calendar days after receipt of the award.  
If the mylar has not been received within that time, the contractor 
should notify the Contracting Officer at the Defense Supply Center 
Richmond.  A courtesy notification of non-receipt should also be 
faxed to DSCR-VAAA (Mylar) at (804)279-5858.  If preferred, DSCR-VAAA 
(Mylar) may be contacted by phone at (804)279-6695. 

    (b)  Notification of non-receipt should include the following
information:

         (1)  Contract/Purchase Order Number

         (2)  National Stock Number

         (3)  Document (Mylar) Number (include revision level)

         (4)  Sheet/Frame Number (required only in cases where 
              partial mylar data has been received)

    (c)  Mylars may be provided in Compact Disk (CD) or hard copy
format.  If contractors do not have the means to use the data in an
electronic format as received on the CD, the contractor will be 
responsible for converting the CD to a hardcopy mylar and for any costs
incurred.

         Mylars available only in CD format will be identified with the
letter "E" in the Release Notes column of the DSCR Form 924, Technical
Data Package Listing, which can be accessed via
