  APPLICABLE TO ITEMS ____________________________                                          

    (a)  Installation as defined in this solicitation includes removing old 
equipment (if any) from, and placing and installing new equipment acquired 
under this solicitation at the installation site identified in Section B of 
this solicitation in an area designated by the Contracting Officer or his 
representative.  New equipment shall be completely installed by the Contractor 
and shall be in good operating condition, acceptable in both cases to the 
Contracting Officer or his representative.

    (b)  Installation includes the furnishing of all accessories and hardwares, 
including but not limited to (1) contacts, (2) valves, (3) connections, 
(4) switches, (5) gauges, (6) wiring, (7) tubing, etc., and the furnishing 
of all labor required to complete all work, including alterations necessary 
for a permanent and successful operation of all equipment furnished under 
the contract.  All accessories and hardware furnished by the Contractor 
shall be new and of good commercial quality.  The Contractor will be 
responsible for the integration of new components and/or equipment with 
components and/or equipment presently installed so that all equipment is 
properly aligned and all units properly timed in relation to each other to 
ensure successful operation.  The Contractor will be required to furnish 
and install necessary safety devices and shall make a complete hookup of 
all electrical and utility service connections, including those to the 
master panel, required for permanent and successful operation of the 
equipment.

    (c)  Installation and removal (if any) of equipment shall be accomplished 
in such a manner as to permit the installation site identified above to 
continue its business substantially uninterrupted, with curtailment of 
customer service authorized only to the extent absolutely necessary for 
the Contractor to properly perform under the contract.  Normal work hours 
at the installation site are ____________ thru _________________ LOCAL TIME 
at the site, MONDAY thru FRIDAY, except legal holidays.  The Contractor 
shall, however, make arrangements for working during the hours as specified 
in Section F of this solicitation by contacting the Contracting Officer's 
Representative (COR) at the site.

    (d)  Unless otherwise indicated in the Contract Data Requirements List, 
DD FORM 1423, the Contractor shall, promptly upon award, contact the COR at 
the site to establish a work schedule that will result in completion of the 
contract on or before the scheduled delivery date, consistent with the 
foregoing stated limitations on curtailment of service, at the minimum 
cost to the Contractor.  The Contractor shall furnish a copy of the work 
schedule to the Contracting Officer and shall promptly notify the Contracting 
Officer of any circumstances that arise which would delay or threaten to delay 
accomplishment of the contract in accordance with the work schedule or required 
delivery/performance schedule.
