(a) When the contracting office retains contract administration (excluding acquisitions under the simplified acquisition threshold), the contracting officer must comply with
FAR 4.804-5(a) by completing NASA Form 1612, Contract Closeout Checklist, and DD Form 1593, Contract Administration Completion Record.
(b) To comply with FAR 4.804-5(b), the contracting officer must complete NASA Form 1611 or DD Form 1594, Contract Completion Statement, except for acquisitions under the simplified acquisition threshold.
